Dukes of Hazzard General Lee

My name is Malcolm Smith.  WELCOME to my pictorial website.

Where did it all started? Well, just like every Dukes of Hazzard fan, it was way back in 1979.

Watching the General Lee on television, skidding around the dusty roads of Georgia and jumping rivers, ditches, trucks and much more.

Thinking, one day I will own a General Lee. I was only 13.

I know what your thinking....... "Just a pipe dream", or was it?

That's how it was until 2006, up until then, I had only seen a replica on two occassions.

From 1988, with my pickup truck, I had attended, competed and then finally organised truck/monster truck shows across the country but that was all about to change.

The 2006 Classic Car Show at the Birmingham's, NEC, had a picture of the General Lee (Phil Prior's) as the main attraction and sure as hell, I was going to get there and see it.

Cutting a long story short, I got there, I saw it, I photographed it. I sat in it and afterward, I was hooked.

SIX weeks later I had bought my own General Lee and was getting ready to collect it on the coldest March morning ever.

And as they say:  THE REST IS HISTORY.
